

Netflix has released an official teaser trailer for season two of Avatar The Last Airbender. The live action adaptation follows the original story that aired on Nickelodeon back in 2005. The second season will adapt the second season of the cartoon that was titled: “Book Two: Earth.”
The series follows our protagonist Aang who is known as the Avatar, a person with the ability to bend all four elements. Accompanying him on his journey are Katara and Sokka who take it upon themselves to help Aang master the four elements and stop the Fire Nation. According to Deadline, in the second season we will see Aang, Katara, and Sokka set off on a mission to convince the Earth King to aid them in their battle against Fire Lord Ozai. Fans of the series will be overjoyed to see Toph’s live action debut who will be played by Miya Cech (Marshmallow, Vespertine). Team Avatar will have their work cut out for them and must overcome many obstacles if they wish for Aang to be able to defeat Ozai and restore peace between the Four Nations.
The cast of the series consists of Gordon Cormier (Team Zenko Go, Ready Jet Go! Space Camp) who plays Aang, Kiawentiio (IT: Welcome to Derry, Rutherford Falls) who plays Katara, Ian Ousley (Physical, Nine) who plays Sokka, Dallas Liu (Sakamoto Days, Shutter Bird) who plays Zuko, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Go Togo, Murdoch Mysteries) who plays Uncle Iroh, Daniel Dae Kim (KPop Demon Hunters, Butterfly) who plays Fire Lord Ozai, Elizabeth Yu (Womb, Black Spines) who plays Azula, Thalia Tran (Station 19, Raya and the Last Dragon) who plays Mai, Momona Tamada (Happy Face, The Spiderwick Chronicles) who plays Ty Lee, and Tantoo Cardinal (The Wingfeather Saga, You’re No Indian) who plays Hama.
Earlier this week, Netflix teased fans with key art featuring a major second-season character in Toph, played by Miya Cech (Rim of the World, The Darkest Hour).
The series has also been renewed for a third season that will conclude the series. The second season is set to stream in 2026.
