The royal couple is here. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix just released the first look of Prince William and Kate Middleton for the sixth and final season of The Crown. Newcomer Ed McVey will be taking on the role of the Prince in the later episodes of the season. Newcomer Meg Bellamy will play Kate Middleton. Watch the photos below.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Crown’s final season will focus on a new generation of royals. The last season will see Prince William, played by McVey, start his higher education at University in St Andrew’s. The Prince is determined to lead a normal uni life before his role in the royal family gives him more responsibilities. At the same time, Kate Middleton from Berkshire is also starting her journey as a student at University. As the two young adults meet for the first time on the University campus, a new romance and a new future for The Crown begins.
In earlier episodes of the season, newcomer Rufus Kampa will be playing the role of a younger Prince William and newcomer Flynn Edwards will be playing the role of a younger Prince Harry.
The cast for the final season includes Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Amulet) as Queen Elizabeth II; Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones, The Two Popes) as Prince Phillip; Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread, Sherwood) as Princess Margaret; Dominic West (The Wire, Brassic) as Prince Charles; Elizabeth Debicki (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Tenet) as Princess Diana; newcomer Luther Ford as Prince Harry; Claudia Harrison (Humans, Delicious) as Princess Anne and Olivia Williams (The Nevers, The Sixth Sense) as Camilla Parker Bowles. Bertie Carvel (Dalgliesh, The Tragedy of Macbeth) will be taking on the role of Tony Blair, Salim Daw (Oslo, Nafas) will be playing Mohamed Al Fayed, and Khalid Abdalla (Moon Knight, Hanna) will play Dodi Fayed.
The Crown is written by Peter Morgan (Bohemian Rhapsody, Rush), who is also responsible for creating the show. Morgan also serves as an executive producer alongside Stephen Daldry (The Swimmers, What They Left Behind), Robert Fox (My Zinc Bed, Atonement), Andy Harries (Outlander, Without Sin), Suzanne Mackie (Behind Her Eyes, Origin), and Matthew Byam Shaw (Piss Off I Love You, Frost/Nixon).
The last season is still filming and no premiere date has been announced. All previous seasons of The Crown are available to stream on Netflix.
