Netflix Releases A New Teaser For Season Two Of ‘Heartstopper’

When Heartstopper first debuted on Netflix in April of 2022, it was renewed for second and third season. All eight episodes of the second season are set to release on August 3rd. According to Screenrant, a new teaser has been released in anticipation of the season two release.

The series is based on the webcomics of the same name by Alice Oseman (Solitaire, Radio Silence). In Volume 3 of the webcomics, the characters go to Paris for a school trip. As Screenrant notes, the teaser reveals that some of the second season of the Heartstopper series will be following Volume 3 of the webcomics as the characters find themselves in France.

The teaser can be viewed here.

The first season of Heartstopper revolves around the budding friendship and romance between Nick Nelson, played by Kit Connor (Rocketman, Ready Player One), and Charlie Spring, played by Joe Locke (Agatha: Coven of Chaos). Throughout the season, Nick discovers more about his sexuality with the help of Charlie and his newfound friends. In the meantime, Charlie begins to realize that he deserves more in life than simply Ben Hope’s secret boyfriend. Ben Hope is portrayed by Sebastian Croft (Doom Patrol, Love, Death & Robots).

Other stars of the show include Corinna Brown (DaphneThe Show Must Go Online) as Tara, Yasmin Finney (Doctor WhoMars) as Elle, William Gao (SunriseCrescendo) as Tao, Olivia Colman (The FavouriteThe Crown) as Nick’s mom, and more.

As the teaser shows, the second season will continue to focus on Nick and Charlie as they navigate their relationship and the coming out process. In addition, audiences will see more of Tao and Elle’s friendship and whether or not they reveal their true feelings that arose in the first season.

Fans of the Heartstopper series and webcomics can look forward to seeing the ups and downs the characters will face in Paris.
