The future of Daredevil’s, played Charlie Cox (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Stardust) future won’t be a lonely one, as familiar faces seems to join his crusade. Reported by Comicbook, the long-awaited reunion that hardcore Marvel fans have been Praying for,The Defenders are officially back. This excitement was due to a wave of photos from Mike Colter (Luke Cage, Evil), alongside Finn Jones (Iron Fist, The Visitor) and Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones, Nightbooks) in a location in Brooklyn.
According to Comicbook, the post had the caption by Colter stating ,” been a while”. Jones goes on to further cement the news with a cheeky reply ,“well, guess the cat’s out of the bag”. It was about nine years since the four shared the screen, ever since the finale of The Defenders back in 2017, in which Daredevil was supposedly dead due to the Midland Finacial Building Collapse, but survived and the other three return to their ordinary lifestyles.
Stated by Comicbook, the release photos leaves fans with many questions on what else will the current season brings, as we see that Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onforio (Echo, Hawkeye) is continuing to expand his power across all of New York. The latest episode showcases he was the next target of Bullseye, played by Wilson Bethel (Untamed, All Rise), who attacked him in his boxing match.
This news hinted that the third season will be taking a different direction, moving way from a single enemy to more high-stakes street warfare. The potential reunion of the actors is a heartfelt promise to the audience and further bridges the gaps between the characters’ respective series.
