Major news has been revealed about the production of the second season of the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series and the brand new members that will be joining.According to Comicbook, the first season was a major hit since its grand debut. It was automatically renewed for a second and third season, in which the second will focus on Book Two: Earth of the original animated series. The returning members that will reprise their roles will be Gordon Cormier (The Stand) as Aang, Kiawentiio (What If…?) as Katara, Ian Ousley (13 Reasons Why) as Sokka, Dallas Wu (Tekken) as Zuko and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (The Mandalorian) as Iroh.
According to Comicbook, fans are clinging to the edge of their seats as among the new members of the cast will be Mia Cech (The Darkest Minds), who will be playing the blind earth bender Toph, the new member of Team Avatar.The cast will also include Chin Han (Mortal Combat) as Long Feng, leader of the Dan Ling, Kelemete Mispeka (Hobbs & Shaw) as The Boulder and many other important characters.
According to Comicbook, the second season will surely follow the same format as the previous, in which they mix different episodes and will show iconic moments such as the library in the desert, the drill attack on the Earth kingdom and Team Avatar being chased by Azula, who will be played by Elizabeth Yu (Year One).
The direction behind the second season and the future third season remains secret. However, it will captivate audiences with its wonderful visuals, mesmerizing world-building and staying true to the source material as it brings the world of Avatar to life.
