Netflix Original ‘Blood & Water’ Renewed For A Second Season

Netflix has officially confirmed the renewal of Nosipho Dumisa’s (Number 37) South African drama Blood & Water, according to Eyewitness NewsIts debut season was released on the streaming platform in May.

Blood & Water stars Ama Qamata in her debut role as Puleng, a 16-year-old attempting to solve the mystery of her missing sister who was abducted at birth. Alongside Qamata, the show stars Khosi Ngema, Thabang Molaba (The Queen), Dylan Windogel (Bhai’s Cafe), Arno Greef (Verraaiers), Ryle de Morny, Natasha Thahane (Lockdown, The Queen), Mekaila Mathys (Bring It On), Cindy Mahlangu, and Duane Williams.

The second season of the series is said to be about Puleng and her new sister Fikile, played by Khosi Ngema in her debut role, via Eyewitness News. The girls will deal with the consequences of what they eventually learned in the first season that Fikile was kidnapped as a baby.

Netflix announced Blood & Water’s renewal by releasing a video on Twitter consisting of Dumiso sharing the news with the cast. It can be watched below.
