Netflix Drops Trailer for Noah Centineo’s New Series ‘The Recruit’

The official trailer for Netflix’s new series The Recruit has been released. The series features former teen heart-throb Noah Centineo ( To All the Boys I’ve loved before) as inexperienced CIA lawyer, Owen Hendricks.

After just two days on the job, Owen Hendricks finds himself caught up in a blackmail scandal. Former CIA asset Max Meladze, played by Laura Haddock (Guardians of the Galaxy) writes a letter from prison threatening to expose the CIA unless they pardon her for the crime. She is prepared to uncover a number of files containing declassified information that will inevitably harm the institution. The responsibility of safeguarding the CIA from exposure is placed in the hands of Owen Hendricks, the agency’s youngest member. In the trailer, Owen Hendricks exclaims, “I’m 24 years old, I’m supposed to make mistakes!”

The role of Owen Hendricks will be a different one for Centineo, signifying his deviation from teenage roles like Jesus Adams in The Fosters towards more action-packed ones, as explained by Screen Rant. The series was created by Alexi Hawley (The Rookie), and Centineo even joined the production team as an executive producer.

Aarti Mann (The Big Bang Theory), Daniel Quincy Annoh (Black ‘N’ White), Kristian Bruun (Family Law), Vondie Curtis Hall (Chicago Hope),Fivel Stewart (Atypical), and Colton Dunn (Hatchet II) have also been casted as main roles alongside Haddock and Centineo.

All episodes are set to stream on Netflix December 16th, as stated on Netflix’s YouTube channel.
