‘Nemesis’ Starring Y’lan Noel And Matthew Law Renewed For Season Two At Netflix

Netflix has officially renewed Nemesis for a second season. According to Deadline, the freshman crime drama created by Courtney A. Kemp (Power, The Good Wife, Power Book II: Ghost) and Tani Marole (Nemesis) will return to the streaming platform following its debut season.

Nemesis stars Y’lan Noel (The First Purge, Lady in the Lake, Insecure) as expert criminal Coltrane Wilder and Matthew Law (The Oval, Abbott Elementary, A Fall from Grace) as detective Isaiah Stiles. The crime drama follows two men on opposite sides of the law as their rivalry intensifies through high-stakes action, family drama, and heist-inspired storytelling.

Season one also starred Cleopatra Coleman (Black Rabbit, Infinity Pool, Dopesick), Tre Hale (Love and Monsters, Platonic, NCIS: Los Angeles), Domenick Lombardozzi (The Family, Find Me Guilty, For Love of the Game), Jonnie Park (The Hate U Give, The Last Days of American Crime, Raya and the Last Dragon), Ariana Guerra (Helstrom, CSI: Vegas, Candy Jar), Gabrielle Dennis (The Bobby Brown Story, The Upshaws, Luke Cage), Michael Potts (True Detective, East New York, Best Medicine), Sophina Brown (Because I Said So, Shark, Twenties), and Jeff Pierre (Mercy, War Dogs, Love in 2020).

Following the renewal announcement, Kemp thanked viewers for supporting the series and credited the show’s passionate fanbase for helping the series secure a second season. Marole also expressed gratitude to Netflix and teased that the upcoming season will answer lingering questions from season one while delivering an even bigger story.

In addition to serving as showrunner, Kemp executive produces the series alongside Marole, Chris Selak (Rude Awakening, Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan), and Philipp Barnett (Euphoria, True Story, Counterpart). Mario Van Peebles (Jaws: The Revenge, Heartbreak Ridge, Panther) also executive produced and directed the first two episodes of season one.

A premiere date for Nemesis season two has not yet been announced.
