Fans are eagerly awaiting news on season 22 of the popular crime-solving series NCIS, and Wilmer Valderrama (Encanto), who has been portraying Nick Torres since back in 2016, dropped some tantalizing hints about the characters’ roles in the upcoming season. According to Screenrant, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter seen below, Valderrama gave an update and said his character will still be in the new season, which will premiere on CBS on Monday, October 17 at 8:00 ET.
Valderrama: I think they always worry. The fans are so passionate about NCIS. I would say this: That in season 22, the contribution these writers have done to the show is just invaluable. We’re playing a lot more with personal journeys for our characters. This season will be a little bit more humorous, definitely a lot more emotionally driven for our lead characters, and perhaps — perhaps — they’re going to be in major danger.
So you’re not going anywhere.
Valderrama: Yeah, no. I’m OK. I’m in the season.
According to Screenrant, on the other hand, there has been speculation on whether Katrina Law (Arrow) will be reprising her role as Jessica Knight due to the season 21 finale, in which her character receives a job offer that will send her away from the office. There has been question on whether this will affect her character’s relationship with Brian Dietzen’s (Nowhere To Hide) Jimmy Palmer. Recently, new information and photos suggest that Jessica will still play a major part in the upcoming season.
The second season could explore and switch between the different perspectives of the group. According to Screenrant, the new season could solve the mystery behind Lily played by Kensie Mills(Three Clicks), who has some relationship with Alden Parker, played by Gary Cole (Office Space), and McGee, played by Sean Murray (Hocus Pocus), and also focus on moving forward as applying for deputy director.
The new season will surely be filled with new mysteries, unexpected twists and relatable moments that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats and guessing who the real culprit is. While fans await further news on both the cast and the debut of the new season, the other seasons and variations are available to rewatch on Paramount+.
