Heroes will return to NBC as a 13-episode long miniseries, says TVLine.
Details on the storyline and the character are still being kept from the public, meaning that it is uknown how many, if any, of the original characters will return.
Tim King will create this new project, which will air in 2015.
NBC announced that a webseries will be released before the miniseries launch, so the characters and storylines can be introduced to the public.
Heroes, starring Hayden Panettiere, Ali Larter and Jack Coleman, among others, was one of NBC’s most popular shows ever, having run its course from 2006 to 2010, throughout four successful seasons.
During its Olympics coverage on Saturday, NBC released the series’ first teaser.
