ABC pulled the plug on The Assets, an eight-hour mini-series, due to poor ratings.
According to Deadline, The Assets received a very low rating of 0.7 for their Thursday premiere and fell even lower the second week with 0.6. This rating is the lowest for an hour-long original on the Big 4 networks. It might possibly be the lowest score ever.
The mini-series is based on actual events and comes from ABC News not ABC’s entertainment division. It is a Cold War spy drama. The series did not receive much or any marketing. It is unknown what will become of the six unaired episodes.
Shark Tank will run repeats to fill in the Thursday 10 PM hour the following three weeks.
