

According to Deadline, NBC will be stopping the series, The Paper which originally aired on Monday at 8:30 pm with November 10 as the premiere date. The Network has decided to replace The Office Spinoff with the cheerleading comedy, Stumble, starring Jenn Lyon (English Teacher, Happy Face) and Taran Killam (High Potential, The Residence), will air Monday’s at 8:30 pm taking over the time slot starting January 3. Stumble The Paper had been schedule for ten full episodes to be airing through January 26, now with the new date, Peacock will drop the final three episodes on NBC on January third.
Variety also noted that the NBC executives is hoping to give the series, Stumble more exposure by placing them on Monday night just behind St. Denis Medical. While still airing on Friday’s at 8:30 pm behind Happy Place.
Domhnall Gleeson (The American Revolution, Fountain Of Youth) stars in the short lived series as Ned who is the editor-in-chief of a Toledo Newspaper which is on the verge of failing. The series follows a documentary style filming, just as The Office did. Oscar Nunez (The School Duel, After We Wrap) from The Office came back to reprise his roll as Oscar, the accountant. Other cast members include, Sabrina Impacciatore (In The Hand of Dante, Kiff), Chelsea Frei (The Life List, The Weight of a Dog), Melvin Gregg (Fight Night: the Million Dollar Heist, Story Ave), and Gbemisola Ikumelo (A League of their Own, Brain in Gear). Deadline reported that Peacock renewed the series for a second series claiming, theatrical is it the second biggest comedy Premiere in Peacocks history as a streamer. It was noted that is fell just behind the show Ted.
The viewers are still able to watch all ten episodes of The Paper while Peacock is streaming them and they will return with a second season on Peacock.
