Nabeel Muscatwalla Joins Max’s ‘The Sex Lives Of College Girls’ Season Three

Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls has picked Nabeel Muscatwalla (Good Trouble) to join its third season. According to Deadline, Muscatwalla will have a recurring role in the dramedy series by Justin Noble (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Mindy Kaling (The Office)

Muscatwalla is slated to portray a student named Arvind who studies at Essex College. Deadline notes that he will be accompanied by returning series regulars, Ilia Paulino (Me Time), Pauline Chalamet (The King of Staten Island), Christopher Meyer (General Hospital), Lyah Chanelle Scott (Reboot), Renika Williams (P-Valley) and Amrit Kaur (The D Cut)

Reneé Rapp (Mean Girls), former series regular on the show, has since left. However, as per Deadline, she is set to make appearances in a few of the new season’s episodes, but will leave the show entirely later. 

The Sex Lives of College Girls chronicles the first-year experiences of four roommates at Essex College, a prestigious college in New England. As the series returned for its second season, the girls came back after fall break to be met with the obstacles awaiting them following the end of season one while simultaneously going into the next semester filled with its own situations, parties, and new people. 

The Sex Lives of College Girls is executively produced by Noble, who is also the showrunner, Kaling and Howard Klein (Jessica Jones). Warner Bros. Television produces the series with 3 Arts Entertainment and Kaling International.  

Born in India, Muscatwalla is an LA-based writer and actor from Dallas, Texas. He was a star during the 2020 CBS Showcase, which landed him a spot on the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater house team, Tracker. According to Deadline, he performs with them every month. 

Muscatwalla studied at Northwestern University, where he created and starred in a web series called Better Days. The series debuted in 2019 at the Tribeca Film Festival. Other works for Muscatwalla include his most recent recurring role in Good Trouble by Freeform. Deadline notes that he also serves as a correspondent on Mission Unstoppable with Miranda Cosgrove for CBS.
