‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’ Is Heading On Tour

One month after its Netflix revival debut Mystery Science Theater 3000 is going on tour.

Creator Joel Hodgson and co. are launching the “Watch Out for Snakes!” Tour, the first live touring production of MST3K. Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 19th beginning at noon local time, with dates available here. The tour starts July 6th, with Boston set as the first stop.

Joining Hodgson will be host Jonah Heston (Jonah Ray), Crow (Hampton Yount), Tom Servo (Baron Vaughn), Gypsy and Synthia (both Rebecca Hanson), King Forrester (Felicia Day), and TV’s Son of TV’s Frank (Patton Oswalt). The live tour is written by the cast and crew of the Netflix revival.

Fans should take note that the tour is split into two completely separate shows, each with their own admission, so diehards will want to get tickets for both. The live shows are set to replicate the show, but with the added element of audience participation and new sketches. The first show, hinted at by the name of the tour, is Arch Hall Sr.’s 1962 teen and caveman classic Eegah. They are being a little cagier about the second show, only revealing that it’s a “fun, sci-fi thriller” that has never been on MST3K before. Simply billed as Secret Surprise Film!, it will only be performed in select cities.

All 14 episodes of MST3K‘s new season are available now on Netflix.
