

The mutant heroes of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters have achieved a major achievement once again, with X-Men ’97’s second season having broken another record. According to Screenrant, the new season following from where the previous one ended with the team being scattered across three different timelines, the new season also expand with delivering different perspectives with one of the distant past and to a desolated future, while dealing with variations of the antagonist, Apocalypse.
Reported by Screenrant, with its three episode premier the series has shattered expectations and has obtained a flawless 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, which showcases that the narrative has truly captured the audience’s attention. The new season also intrudes a new line-up of mutant with such examples being the outlawed X-Force, led by Cable, voiced by Chris Potter (The Good Witch, The Hunt) and the government- sponsored X-Factor, which include Havok, Polaris and Wolfsbane.
Screenrant’s Liam Crowley have spoken with Brad Winderbaum (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow) about what the series future will entail, in which Brad goes on to state,”it’s true, we’re well into development on season four. I’ve read scripts, I believe, for half the season. It’s remarkably awesome, and I’ve seen the animatics. I think we’ve locked our animatics for season three entirely now, and I’m starting to see animation in the next couple weeks.” The success of X-Men ’97 also reinforces Marvel Animation’s growing reputation for delivering compelling stories outside the live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With The first three episodes of X-Men ’97’s second season are available to stream on Disney, with new episodes released weekly every Wednesday. With more episodes to come, the X-Men’s adventure is sure to deliver a massive wave of action, culminating in a cinematic finale where all factions must join forces to bring down Apocalypse and thwart his plan for global domination.
