Ms. Marvel is one of the latest and greatest when it comes to superheroes in the MCU. Since her release in the official movie not too long ago, fans have begged for Kamala Khan to enter the universe. Months later, it seems like Disney will accomplish just that. It was confirmed earlier this year that Ms. Marvel will be a Disney+ tv show, and now it has officially set the parameters for its production.
Production Weekly released in their brand-new issue a sneak peek of Marvel Studio updates. In honor of Kamala Khan, we got a glimpse of what to expect and the confirmation that the project will begin in April at Atlanta.
While there isn’t an exact date quite yet, we’re sure that it’ll start in the Spring of 2020. Kamala’s entry into the MCU is one aspect of their Phase 4 that has fans excited for the its future. The update likely suggests that the filming will take off even earlier than usual, but in the meanwhile, the production team might is looking for an unknown actress to play Kamala.
The comics depicts Kamala as a teenage girl who learns of her polymorphing powers which can enlarge, shrink, and stretch parts of her body. As a hero, she uses these abilities to protect her hometown, Jersey City, and is at some point recognized and joins the Avengers. Bisha K. Ali will take on the role of showrunner for Ms. Marvel’s adaptation.
As part of the Disney+ package, Ms. Marvel was also unveiled with She-Hulk and Moon Knight at last month’s D23 Expo. It will join Disney along with other great projects such as Black Widow in May 1st, 2020, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in Fall 2020, Loki in Spring 2021, and many other Marvel contributions. In the meanwhile, Marvel fans can be satisfied in expecting another grand addition in Phase 4.
