The Homeland alum has just been cast on the new ABC medical drama, says TVLine.
Warriors will be focused on the staff of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, who treat soldiers returning from war.
Baccarin will portray Tory Sterling, a soldier who is also a psychiatrist, plus a wife and mother who just returned from a 9 month spell in Afganistan and will start working at Walter Reed Hospital.
It is already known that the character has a secret about something that happened to her in Afganistan but is keeping it hidden from everyone, especially her husband Clay. In addition, there will be a potential love triangle involving another surgeon at the hospital, George Mann.
The new project is going to be developed by Christopher Keyser (Party Of Five), who also penned the script, and David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Laurie Zaks will serve as EPs.
Although the Brazillian actress is best known for her role as Jessica in HBO’s Homeland, she has also been a part of other shows like The Good Wife, The Mentalist, and Heartland.
