AT&T’s MMA series is hanging it up after three seasons.
Deadline reports Kingdom, AT&T Audience Network’s MMA drama series, will end with its upcoming third season. The series, which originally aired on DirecTV in 2014, was created by Byron Balasco (Flashforward, Detroit 1-8-7) and stars Frank Grillo as a retired MMA fighter struggling to keep his gym alive and in business. Kingdom also starred Jonathan Tucker, Matt Lauria, Nick Jonas, Joanna Going, Natalie Martinez and Kirk Acevedo.
“We are looking forward to the upcoming third and final season of Kingdom, which premieres on May 31 at 8 p.m. on AT&T Audience Network,” AT&T Audience Network and Endemol Shine Studios said in a joint statement. “We expect season three to be a great one and appreciate the hard work and dedication from creator and showrunner Byron Balasco, as well as the entire cast and crew. We could not be more proud to have worked with all of them on such an amazing series.”
“Our third season of Kingdom will begin airing May 31. It will officially be our final season. I could not be prouder to have been a part of it,” Tucker wrote on Twitter. “I’m grateful to our extraordinary crew (I have worked with no better), dedicated castmates, vocal fans & the generous world of MMA. Honored.”
Kingdom will air its third and final season on May 31st on AT&T’s Audience Network, AT&T U-verse, and DirecTV Now.
