The halls of Hogwarts is ever expanding, as news surrounding the approaching HBO’s Harry Potter has been revealed. According to Comicbook, three additional new members have been added to the Wizarding World, and even though the actors of the golden trio have already been revealed, one of the new cast will be sharing the role of Ron Weasley alongside Alastair Stout. Louis Shelton has been cast as an alternate version of the male wizard. He will play a key role in unraveling the mystery of the Mirror of Erised scene, in which Ron sees himself becoming Quidditch Captain and holding the House Cup.
Reported by Comicbook, the mentioned roles that were include to be in the series will include a magical shop owner of Diagon Alley , Madam Malkin, who will be played by Naomi Wirther (How to Train Your Dragon, The Outrun) selling robes and other items to the students. The other role is an unknown hotel manager mentioned within the novel, played by Neil Edmond (The Agency, Traum), which fans discover was a referenced to the books which mentioned a spot called the Railview Hotel.
Comicbook states, with a stellar cast list which comprises of Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Attack the Block), Janet McTeer (Ozark, MobLand) as McGonagall and John Lithgow (Dexter, Shrek) the reboot appears to be a magical experience that will surely attract new and old fans alike. The season will not stop with only one season, as it has already has a mutli season order focusing on the other books of the franchise.
The upcoming Harry Potter reboot series as of right now does not have a confirmed release date, but is scheduled to makes its debut in early 2027. This reboot has the potential to reintroduce and reimagine iconic locations from the franchise, such as King’s Cross Station and Hogsmeade Village, which made it widely known and heighten the fantasy genre.
