According to ScreenRant, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan spinoff focusing on Rainbow Six as well as Michael Peña’s (Ant-Man, American Hustle), character in season four gets an update from series producer Allyson Seeger (A Quiet Place). The spin-off series is centered around Peña’s character Domingo Ding Chavez an undercover agent and part of Operation Pluto in Prime Video’s Jack Ryan. Recently Seeger had an interview with Collider discussing the possibility of Peña and other actors reprising their roles in the upcoming spin-off.
Seeger stated, “We certainly hope so. I think it was so much fun for us to bring Chavez into Season four. There was even a moment where we were going to plant the seed at the end of Season three, and then narratively, it just worked better to come into Season four. It was so great to get Michael Peña. I think the beauty of Jack Ryan, the movies, and the series, is that obviously, there are these death-defying, pressure cooker missions, but there’s real humor and humanity to it. I think bringing Michael Peña into that brings both, the sort of terror of that character, and also the heart and humor underneath it. It was really fun. So we loved having him, we loved making this season, and I’ll go with ‘we hope so.’ Like, I said, there’s so much in the Clancyverse, as we always say. We’d love the opportunity to keep talking about it.”
Jack Ryan is based on a series of books by author Tom Clancy before being featured on the big screen as well as a Prime Video series. It follows an up-and-coming CIA analyst who is put into many dangerous situations during field assignments. The series spin-off Rainbow Six will also be based on Clancy’s books which also has a video game adaptation.
All seasons of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan are available to stream on Prime Video.
