As reported by Deadline, fans of the hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building were left in shock on Tuesday when Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverley Place, Princess Protection Program), one of the show’s stars, announced via social media that none other than Meryl Streep (Mamma Mia! The Devil Wears Prada) would be joining the cast for the upcoming third season. The announcement, which came in the form of a behind-the-scenes video, showed Gomez with her co-stars Steve Martin (Father of the Bride, Cheaper by the Dozen), Martin Short (Three Amigos, Clifford), and Paul Rudd (Role Models, Clueless), with Streep making a surprise appearance to ensure her new castmates were comfortable with their pillows.
