Megan Thee Stallion Gets First Look Deal with Netflix

The Houston Hottie will be taking her talents to Netflix. According to Variety, rapper Megan Thee Stallion and the streamer reached a new exclusive first-look deal. Megan Thee Stallion will create and executive produce content for Netflix, including television shows and other projects.

“Megan is a multi-talented creative force who has consistently made her mark on culture,” Netflix Head of Comedy Tracey Pakotsa said, via Variety. “She’s always growing and evolving as an artist, and we’re thrilled that she’s making a home at Netflix for this next chapter in her journey.”

Megan has been a growing staple in the music industry. With three Grammy wins and nine BET Awards, Megan Thee Stallion has made a name for herself in recent years. She has two Billboard Hot 200 No. 1 singles with the “Savage” remix, featuring fellow Houston-based artist Beyonce, and  “WAP” with fellow rapper Cardi B.

Her recent debut release, Good News, received critical acclaim, peaked No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and is certified platinum.

Megan is familiar with the television scene, having guest appearances on Good Girls and Saturday Night Live. She recently received a degree in health administration at Prairie View A&M University.

“I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix,” said the rapper in a statement, via Variety. “Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.”
