The Olympic star will be making an appearance on Bones this season.
EW has exclusively reported that the gymnast and also the former The West Wing actor Richard Schiff will both guest-star on Bones.
Schiff will play Leon Watters, a theoretical physicist with whom Dr. Brennan can relate because “she sees shades of herself” in him. The episode will focus on the death of Watters’s daughter, Amanda, and the how he’s coping with it.
As for McKayla, she’ll be playing Ellie, who was a friend but also a rival of the girl who died.
It’s not the first time guest-starring on TV for Maroney, who appeared as a character named Tonya in Hart of Dixie last season. The air date for the episode still hasn’t been determined. Bones airs Mondays at 8 p.m ET on FOX.
