Max’s ‘Kite Man: Hell Yeah!’ Sets Premiere Date

Max’s newest adult animated series Kite Man: Hell Yeah! will premiere on the streaming platform on July 18. Alongside the release date, Max has also posted a new official trailer for the series to their YouTube account. Watch below.

The series’ first two episodes will premiere at once on Thursday, July 18, followed by weekly Thursday releases through September. The season one finale is set to air on September 12 on Max. Kite Man: Hell Yeah! is a spin-off of Max’s Harley Quinn series, which was recently renewed for a fifth season. The series is set to follow to characters from the fan favorite original series, Kite Man and Golden Glider, and includes a slew of new faces and voice actors.

According to Max, the longline for the series is as follows “Kite Man and Golden Glider take their relationship to the next level by opening a bar in the shadow of Lex Luthor’s Legion of Doom. Nobody said serving cold ones to the most dangerous rogues outside of Arkham Asylum would be easy, but sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and how to hide a body.”

Matt Oberg (Fresh Off the Boat, Superstore) is set to reprise his role as Kite Man. Golden Glider, who was voiced by Cathy Ang (My Best Friends Exorcism, Star Wars: Tales of the Empire) will be voiced by Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All At Once, Joy Ride) in the new series. Also reprising his role from Harley Quinn is James Adman (American Dad! Future-Worm!) as Bane. New supporting cast members include Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos, One Night in Miami) as Joe/Moe Dubelz and the late Lance Reddick (The Wire, American Horror Story: Coven) appearing in his final television role as Lex Luthor.

According to Max, the new adult animated series will be executive produced by Harley Quinn alumni Dean Lorey (iZombie, Big Shot), Justin Halpern (How to be a Gentleman, Harley Quinn), Patrick Shumacker (Abbott Elementary, Powerless), Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory, The Flight Attendant), and Sam Register (Velma, Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake).

While fans of Harley Quinn eagerly await the premiere of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! on July 18, the first four seasons of Harley Quinn are currently available to binge on Max.
