Conan O’Brien, popular talk show host and comedian, is preparing to premiere the second season of his documentary mini-series, Conan O’Brien Must Go, which joins together adventure and comedy as Conan meets with fans of his podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan. The documentary dedicates time to diversity and culture, as Conan connects with listeners from around the world. In his first season, the former Late Night host traveled to Norway, Thailand, Ireland, and Argentina, introducing the unique cultural differences and practices in each country.
According to a post through Quora, O’Brien’s travel show amassed 2.4M views in its first season, which appeared on TBS last year. Now available through Max as well, the second season will premiere on May 8th, citing three total episodes. The season finale plans to debut on May 22, with Conan visiting New Zealand, Austria, and Spain. Check out the trailer released by Max below to get in on the comedic excitement.
In an article on Deadline, Conan will be joined by Spanish actor Javier Bardem(Dune, Dune: Part Two) and New Zealander filmmaker and actor Taika Waititi(Green Lantern, Thor: Ragnarok) on his travels. Through talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Conan revealed his joy of standing out and being the joke every once in a while.
“I do like to be the odd person out, the one that doesn’t fit in,” O’Brien said while speaking to THR‘s Mikey O’Connell last year. “I think I’m funnier when I’m not in the power position. I was talking to one guy, and he was sort of looking at my skin, my freckles, and he’s like, ‘Are you ill?’ Those are the situations that just inherently amuse me — when a bit of the joke is on me.”He said. Ahead of season two, a season three has been discussed with a premiere date to be announced later. Aside from the trailer, view the photos of the upcoming second season below provided by Max:
