Kaling also serves as executive producer alongside series creator Charlie Grandy (Guys with Kids). Elijah Aron (Bojack Horseman), and Jessica Kumai Scott (Hesher) serve as co-executive producers on the series. Amy Winfrey (Making Friends) serves as the supervising producer, and Kandace Reuter (ThunderCats Roar) and Rick Williams (Malibu Rescue) serve as producers.

According to Comicbook, the new season of Velma is teased as follows: “When an even spookier mystery grips Crystal Cove, Velma must find a way to balance her detective work with the demands of her newfound popularity before it’s too late. Meanwhile, her faithful friends Daphne, Norville, and Fred are powerless to help thanks to their battles and worse… Detention.”

Velma season two will premiere on Max on April 25th and will have 10 episodes. The first season of the series is available to watch on the streamer.
