As the Gilmore Girls revival on Netflix gets underway, more and more familiar faces are returning to Stars Hollow.
Earlier in the week, Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino revealed Matt Czuchry who played Logan Huntzberger, Rory’s last boyfriend, will be making an appearance. Since 2009, Czuchry has been playing Cary Agos on The Good Wife on CBS.
For those of you who are wondering about Rory’s other past boyfriends, nothing has been confirmed, but Sherman-Palladino told TV Line “Our plan is to get as many of [Rory’s] lovely men back as possible. We’re still dealing with who’s going to be in it. We definitely want to see them. And we have storylines planned. I just need someone to tell me they’re going to show up.” If Jared Padalecki and Milo Ventimilgia plan on returning as Dean and Jess, they are going to need to hurry up because production has already started.
It is unclear how many of the four revival episodes Czuchery will appear in, and it’s unclear where he and Rory stand. The last time we saw Logan, he was heading off to California to pursue a job and Rory had rejected his marriage proposal. I think we can expect any interaction between Logan and Rory to be at least a little awkward.
Logan isn’t the only person from Rory’s past we can expect to see. On Saturday Liza Weil announced she will be reprising her role as Paris Geller.
Weil broke the news at the Savannah College of Art and Design’s television festival in Atlanta where she told E! Online, “I start on Tuesday, which I really feel like bodes well that I get to start on a Tuesday being that we used to be on a Tuesday.”
Weil currently is regular on How To Get Away With Murder on ABC.
At the end of Gilmore Girls season seven, Paris’s life was falling apart as it was coming together. She finally decided on going to medical school after being accepted into the best law and medical programs in the country.
At their graduation, Rory told Paris that she hadn’t been able to shake her since high school which meant they probably would always be friends. Weil will be returning as Paris for two of the four revival episodes, which means Rory was probably right. It looks like they will be friends for a long time.
