Miss Scarlet and The Duke has been renewed for a fourth season by Masterpiece under PBS, and has begun production in Serbia, according to Deadline. The mystery series stars Kate Philips (The Crown, Peaky Blinders) and Stuart Martin (Army of Thieves, Medici).
The series follows the first ever female detective Eliza Scarlet, played by Kate Philips, as she joins forces with Inspector William “The Duke” Wellington, played by Stuart Martin, to solve crime in 19th-century London. Miss Scarlet and The Duke cast also includes Cathy Belton (Red Rock, Hidden Assets), Evan McCabe (Doctor Who, Berlin Station), Felix Scott (Inception, Blitz), Paul Bazely (Black Mirror, Cruella), Curtis Kantsa (The Sandman, Blue Story), Simon Ludders (Bridgerton, Young Dracula), and Tim Chipping (Sherlock, Troy).
The series was created by writer Rachael New (Monday Monday, New Tricks) and produced with Masterpiece in association with 87 Films, Other Mans Shoes, and Work in Progress, according to Deadline. Executive producers include Harvey Myman (Clean Sweep, Stryx), Susanne Simpson (Nova, The Durrells), Jin Ishimoto (The Pinkertons, Mary Higgins Clark Anthology), Patrick Irwin (The Fall, Bang), Patty Lenahan Ishimoto (Clean Sweep, Rogue), and Rachael New, via Deadline.
Season three of Miss Scarlet and the Duke premieres on January 8, 2023. The series is currently streaming on PBS Passport, the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel, on Amazon Prime, via Deadline.
