What If…? is based on a series of Marvel comics that explored Earth’s mightiest heroes in alternate storylines, respectfully introducing the multiverse. The show stars Jeffery Wright (American Fiction, Westworld) as the Watcher, a celestial being who observes these many threads with the sworn oath to never, ever interfere.
Season two of What If…? is set to premiere on Disney+ Dec. 22 with each of its nine episodes released daily. This is different from Disney+’s usual weekly drop and a far cry from the upcoming release of all episodes for Marvel’s Echo.
