Marvel’s Kevin Feige and the Russo Brothers Will Appear in an Episode for Fox’s ‘The Simpsons’

The Simpsons have popularized the use of celebrity cameos as well as parodies. One, in particular, had fans so excited that it went viral. The show has had some iconic couch gags towards the end of their opening credits. Back in January, during the hype surrounding the upcoming Marvel movie, Avengers: Endgame, the show featured Thanos’s snap. Homer Simpson, Marge, Bart, and Lisa were dusted away leaving behind the youngest daughter, Maggie whose pacifier was the last thing Thanos needed for his Infinity gauntlet.

It was a rather hilarious addition to the long list of classic couch gags. The Simpsons look to continue this story by adding three of the people to their show who turned the Avengers into one of the biggest movie franchises in the world. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo will have cameo in the upcoming episode, “Bart and the Bad Guy.” The episode revolves around the superhero movie with a real-life twist. Before Endgame was released, the Russo brothers wrote a letter to viewers who would go watch the movie and in that said letter, they asked those people to not spoil anything about the movie. A hashtag was coined for months leading up to the movie’s release and even afterward – #DontSpoilTheEndgame.

In the episode, Bart is given the opportunity to watch the sequel to an upcoming superhero movie in the Vindicator movie franchise. However, Bart was only given this wish because he was mistaken for another child with a terminal illness. Now Bart has the power of spoiling the movie if he doesn’t get his way. The Russo brothers will play the roles of movie executives who try to stop Bart from ruining their movie. Feige will portray a parody of the villain Thanos called Chinnos (because of his multiple chins).

“Bart and the Bad Guy” will air on February 23 on Fox.
