Marvel has just released a new trailer for their upcoming series, Echo, in which the spotlight is on Maya Lopez portrayed by Alaqua Cox(Hawkeye), a deaf superhero who can perfectly mimic her opponent’s movements. Following the events from Hawkeye, Maya returns to her hometown, but her dark past follows her back as well.The stakes rise to a new level, forcing her to defend not just herself, but her entire family against the darkness that has trailed her back. According to a previous mxdwn post, Maya’s story is one of self-discovery as she overcomes her dark pasts, reconnects with her Native American roots, and discovers the meaning behind family to move forward.

The trailer showcases Maya’s outstanding acrobatic prowess and deadly fighting skills, as we see her taking down Kingpin’s henchmen. Along with Alaqaua, we see the return of another memorable characters such as Daredevil played by Charlie Cox(Spiderman: N0 Way Home), and Wilson Fisk played by Vincent D’Onofrio(Men in Black). Echo is sure to be jam-packed with eye-catching fight sequences, compelling storytelling, and complex characters, the series is sure to be a wonderful addition to the MCU.
