Marvel Will Share First Looks To Future Animated Projects ‘Eyes of Wakanda’, Second Season Of ‘X-Men 97’, And Many Others At D23

Marvel has shared first looks for upcoming series and projects, such as X-Men ’97, Spider-Man and Eyes of Wakanda, Comicbook.com reports. The company has announced that news for all these animated series will be shared with the public during the “Ultimate Disney Fan Event” during D23 in Anaheim. Michael Vargo, the head of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, has shared his excitement for the event in a special statement.

“We are thrilled for fans of all ages to join us in Anaheim next month for what will truly be the ultimate Disney fan experience,” Vargo explained via Comicbook.com. “This year, D23 has been reimagined to showcase even more of what they love from across the worlds of Disney. Guests will enjoy the incredible programming and show floor offerings we have in store at the Anaheim Convention Center, where our exceptional storytelling and experiences will come to life through spectacular entertainment with many of the creative masterminds behind the magic.”

According to Comicbook.com, the new animated series Eyes of Wakanda is mostly related to the storylines of the previous movies. Brad Winderbaum (Agent Carter, Werewolf by Night), the head of Marvel Television, shared his thoughts on future Marvel projects when he was interviewed by The Official Marvel Podcast.

Eyes of Wakanda, more than any other show we’re doing in animation, ties directly into the MCU,” Winderbaum shared via Comicbook.com. “This is a story about Wakandan history. It’s produced by Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Creed) and directed by Todd Harris (Avengers: Infinity War, Spider-Man: Far From Home) who is one of our longtime storyboard artists who I first met when he designed the Hulk vs. Thor fight in Ragnarok.”

“It’s an awesome show. The action is insane and the storytelling is fantastic,” Winderbaum continued via Comicbook.com. “It’s both about the history of Wakanda, but also expands into the greater MCU at different time periods. If you’re a fan of the movies, I think this show is going to be a real treat.”

X-Men ’97 is currently streaming on Disney+, but there is no scheduled release date for the other Marvel projects yet, which will most definitely be released at D23.”
