Sources confirm via Deadline that T’Nia Miller (The Fall of the House of Usher, The Peripheral) has been cast for a major role in Marvel’s Vision series for Disney+. It is believed that she will be playing Jocasta, who serves as Ultron’s manufactured bride-to-be in the Marvel comicbooks.
Deadline also mentions that Miller’s casting was first reported by Daniel Richtman.
According to Deadline, it is believed Miller will have a place in Vision‘s main cast, putting her alongside names like Paul Bettany (Uncle Frank, Here), James Spader (The Blacklist, Boston Legal) and Faran Tahir (Iron Man, Escape Plan) who are all reprising their respective MCU characters in the series. Other names include Todd Stashwick (The Air I Breathe, 12 Monkeys) and Ruaridh Mollica (Stonemouth, Too Rough), which mxdwn reported would play the role of Tucker.
Deadline notes that Miller is known for her multiple regular roles across series’, such as The Fall of the House of Usher for Netflix, where she plays Victorine LaFourcade. More of her recurring features include Apple TV’s Foundation and The Haunting of Bly Manor.
Vision serves as the second WandaVision spinoff, coming after Agatha All Along. While Agatha All Along was reportedly set a few years after the events of WandaVision, Deadline mentions that the new series takes place directly after them, where Vision actively attempts to re-discover himself.
Mxdwn reported that the last time we saw the vibranium synthezoid was in a battle against an evil alternate, referred to as White Vision. It is Scarlet Witch’s reboot on White Vision that begins his journey towards his previous identities. Notably, a multiverse version of White Vision was recently featured in episode five of the What If…? series, where White Vision served as a watchdog to villain Mysterio throughout his attempts to rule the earth using Stark technologies.
