The upcoming Prime Video drama series, Wilderness, has added nine cast members in various roles, as reported by Deadline. Among the cast is Emmy-nominated Marsha Stephanie Blake (When They See Us, This Is Us) as Detective Rawlins.
Other additions to the series include Eric Balfour (The Offer) as Garth, Crystal Balint (Midnight Mass) as Liana, Talia Balsam (Divorce) as Bonnie, Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars) as Cara, and Jake Foy (Billy the Kid) as Anton. Additional cast members include Geoff Gustafson (The Terror) as Zach, Jonathan Keltz (Cardinal) as Detective Wiseman, Claire Rushbrook (Genius: Einstein) as Caryl, Natalie Sharp (The Flash) as Marissa, and Morgana Van Peebles (Superstition) as Ash. Previously announced cast members include Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Invisible Man), who will play the series leads, Liv and Will, respectively.
Wilderness is based on the 2019 novel of the same name by B.E. Jones (Make Him Pay). It will follow a British couple (Coleman and Jackson-Cohen) who embark on a trip to America’s National Parks to give their relationship a fresh start after Liv discovers Will’s affair. What results is a twisted love story that soon turns into a living nightmare about heartbreak and revenge, per Deadline. Wilderness is created and written by Marnie Dickens (Thirteen). Dickens will also executive produce alongside two-time Emmy nominee Elizabeth Kilgariff (Luther) and So Yong Kim (Roar), who will also serve as a director on the series.
Wilderness is currently filming in Canada and the US and will be released on Prime Video in 2023 in over 240 countries and territories. Prime Video has yet to announce an official release date for the series.
