‘Making History’ is Set to Premiere

How about a bit of time travel? Now from the producers of The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, written by Julius Sharpe from The Grinder and Family Guy has created a genius series that looks comedically at time travel. The new comedy Making History coming to Fox in March and follows the lives of three friends from two different centuries. They try to balance their lives of time travelers with their normal lives, without any concerns of their problems. There are two shows in one, with both signifying historical facts with misadventures.

This mischievous time travel show features actors Adam Pally from The Mindy Project and Happy Endings who plays a computer science nerd and professor that discovers time travel. He successfully transports himself and once he transports, goes to 1700s and spends time with a colonial woman whom he falls in love with. In present day, Dan isn’t at all like his time travel ego, he is an unpopular nerd. He is very bad with the ladies as well.

However, by claiming song lyrics, lines from movies and stand-up bits in the 18th century, he becomes  funny and the life of the party. He gets girls and makes fast friends. Nevertheless, his conversations and movements have changed his present day life. He eventually teams up with his friend and colleague Chris Parish, Yassir Lester from Girls fame, who plays a brilliant and popular history professor who lives the history he’s teaching. We will know what will happen when the two colleague travels though time. Making History premieres March 5 at 8:30 on Fox.

According to Deadline, Fox made an announcement to reduce the number of episodes from 13 to 9. The decision was made as Fox is firming up scheduling plans. Fox is trying to process the midseason premiere dates, and since there are premiere of the other shows in the lineups, Fox had to make a difficult decision and due to scheduling had to make the cut.

There’s a lot going on at Fox especially since their popular crime drama, Bones, is in its final season. The network wants to accommodate each show and thought that Bones needed a good send off at the right time. Whatever may come, Making History will make its very own history and the stars will lavish in its true success.
