The Psych actress was just cast as the leading lady on the new CBS dating comedy series, says TVLine.
Save The Date will be a multi-camera show about Kate (Lawson), a newly-single woman in her mid-30s who books a wedding venue while drunk and has to find the right one to marry before the date arrives.
The show’s script will be penned by the couple Jackie and Jeff Filgo, with the latter also executive producing with ABC Studios and CBS TV Studios.
Maggie Lawson is best known for her role as Juliet O’Hara in Psych for the past eight years, but she also starred in other projects like Back In The Game, Justified and Crumbs, among others.
