The streaming giant decided to revive the DC Comics-inspired drama after a massive fan based campaign to bring the show back. With season three ending in a cliffhanger, the creator tweeting out once FOX cancelled the series “fucking hurts.” Tom Ellis (the series star) also tweeted out that he was “gutted” by the show’s cancellation.

Lucifer showrunner and executive producer Ildy Modrovich also replied to a tweet from one of their fans that they will take part in the San Diego Comic-Con next month. The deadline to have their own panel at Comic-Con has already passed; however, there are ideas being flowed around that some of the executive producers and cast members would also talk about the show in other panels or even have an off-site press event.

Here is Modrovich’s tweet:

The show has always made appearances to Comic-Con since its release in 2015. Cast members Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Rachael Harris, Kevin Alejandro, Aimee Garcia, and Tricia Helfer, as well as, executive producers Modrovich and Joe Henderson have attended Comic-Con to talk about the show. The series will be shot in Los Angeles and according to Deadline, the writers room will be open on June 25th. This will give them just under a month before Comic-Con starts in July 19-22.
