A&E is renewing Longmire for another season.
The cable network announced that the hour-long drama will have a third season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the co-creator and executive producer John Coveny announced on Twitter that the series will be back because A&E picked up Longmire for another round of ten episodes.
David McKillop, the A&E general manager said that “Longmire has become one of the most compelling dramas on television with a devoted audience, and we are so proud of the show.”
The crime thriller is based on the Walt Longmire mystery novels written by Craig Johnson. The official pick-up pf the show comes while A&E is preparing to launch Those Who Kill and the second season of Bates Motel.
David McKillop also added, “We are thrilled to continue our wonderful partnership with Warner Horizon Television, the production team, and the talented cast and crew led by the exceptional Robert Taylor.”
Longmire is the No. 1 original drama in viewership and it stars Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bailey Chase,Cassidy Freeman and Adam Bartley.
