Netflix will launch a three-episode promotional series entitled Little Black Mirror featuring Latin American YouTube personalities, according to Deadline. These will be short episodes promoting season 5 of Black Mirror, which will air June 5th on Netflix. The mini series will be inspired by the Black Mirror series and aimed at Spanish-speaking audiences.
The mini stories will include actors Maia Mitchell (The Fosters), Rudy Mancuso, Juanpa Zurita, Lele Pons, Anwar Jibawi, Hannah Stocking, Jeff Wittek, Delaney Glazer and popular Swedish DJ Alesso.
The three short Little Black Mirror episodes will air on YouTube and Netflix América Latina channel May 26, June 2 and June 6, according to Variety. Rudy Mancuso will direct and score the episodes, and is backed by Shots Studios, who also manages Pons, Jibawi, Stocking and Alesso. The promotional episodes will air for free on YouTube.
Season 5 of Black Mirror will air June 5th on Netflix and will be available worldwide. Comprised of merely three episodes, the series will continue to explore the relationship between humanity and our growing technological world. The new series will star Miley Cyrus, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Damson Idris, Andrew Scott, Pom Klementieff, Nicole Beharie,Angourie Rice, Topher Grace, Madison Davenport and Ludi Lin.
Netflix has also released trailers for each of its three stand alone episodes of season 5. According to Netflix, the series is designed to represent “our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia leading to an unforgettable – and sometimes unsettling – conclusion.” The original Black Mirror series is created by Charlie Brooker, and executive produced by Annabel Jones and Brooker.
