Lifetime Picks Up Glen Mazzara’s ‘Omen’ Follow-Up ‘Damien’ Series

Walking Dead showrunner, Glen Mazzara, has gotten the green light on creating a new series Damien. Lifetime picked up six episodes of this new drama which follows-up on The Omen. This spooky 1976 feature centered around a devious child, known to many as the Antichrist. Mazzara’s series will focus on the boy all grown up, seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him.

Lifetime executive and general manager, Rob Sharenow, says, “Glen Mazzara has re-imagined him as a dark, romantic, anti-hero and this fresh take blends complex characters with premium storytelling to make something truly original” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

This drama is set to be released in 2015, production starting in May. Mazzara seems to be truly gifted in crafting these chilling shows. Sources say Mazzara is also working on a new movie dubbed Overlook Hotel, which is a prequel to Stephen King’s The Shining
