Lex Scott Davis (The L Word: Generation Q, All Rise, Rebel), star of the Suits spinoff, named Suits LA, has revealed that she would enjoy it if original cast members were to return in the upcoming spinoff, ComicBook.com reports.
“It’s not impossible,” Davis stated in an interview with People when she was asked if there was a chance for the old cast members to return. “I would love that myself if there was, but we’ll see. You never know.”
Furthermore, according to ComicBook.com, the actress will star alongside Stephen Amell (Arrow, Heels, The Vampire Diaries) The Walking Dead alum Josh McDermitt (Retired at 35, Angie Tribeca, Middle Man), and Troy Winbush (The Wilds, NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans)
“There is a pilot script, and that’s what we’ll be filming in April,” Davis shared, via ComicBook.com. “Fingers crossed that the pilot gets a series order. But, I’m pretty excited. Pretty sure we’ll get our series order, for sure.”
“So [Suits] has this resurgence that everyone’s excited about,” Davis added. “And so, the news about dropping Suits L.A. is just, it’s going crazy. And I love it. it’s so much fun. I can’t wait to actually get started.”
Suits L.A., according to ComicBook.com, follows the story of an entertainment law firm located in Hollywood. The original show, Suits, was able to become the most viewed show in streaming in 2023. That was because Netflix added the first eight seasons, and it was very popular among the streamer’s subscribers. That is why NBCUniversal has issued the new spinoff to work on.
At the beginning of this month, Abigail Spencer (Grey’s Anatomy, Rectify, True Detective), who was part of the Suits original cast, hinted at the possibility of returning to the new spinoff, Suits LA, in an interview with The A.V. Club. “Yes! Every season when I was available they just kept asking me back,” Spencer explained. She continued by stating that “anyone in the Suits universe could probably come back through.”
Suits LA is will begin production in April, as stated beforehand.
