Lena Dunham and musical guest The National are set for SNL on March 8.
Dunham, creator and star of the HBO series Girls, will take the SNL stage for the first time as host. Dunham is best known for her role as Hannah Hovath on Girls.
The National will also make a debut appearance as musical guest. They received a 2014 Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album for Trouble Will Find Me. They also have a documentary, Mistaken For Strangers, hitting theaters the last week of March.
Broadway Video produces Saturday Night Live. Lorne Michaels created and executive produces SNL.
A new SNL airs March 1 with host Jim Parsons and musical guest Beck.
