The legendary journey of the legendary band of misfit on Prime Video’s hit animated fantasy series, The Legend of Vox Machina is seem to reaching its final stretch. According to Radio Times, the series is heavily based on Critical Role’s first campaign, in which the previous season ended with Whispered One, voiced by Andy Serkis (Black Panther, Flushed Away), manipulating Pike, voiced by Ashley Johnson (Ben 10: Alien Force, The Last of Us), into completing his ritual and ascending to godhood. With this new power, he made the team bend the knee, but not before killing off Vax, voiced by Liam O’Brien (Tiger & Bunny, Naruto Shippuden), and burying them in a rumble.
Reported by Radio Times, this isn’t the end for the titular group, as they will return with new vestiges such as Cabal’s Ruin, wielded by Percy, voiced by Talesin Jaff (The Mighty Nein, Dispatch), and Spire of Conflux, wielded by Keyleth, voiced by Marisha Ray (Age of Umbra, Date Everything!). One of the series producer and actor, Sam Riegel (Blue Excorsist, Candela Obscura) goes on to describe the process behind the series recreation,”season five is in the works. We have finished some episodes of it, there’s still more work to be done on other episodes. Then, when we finish, it has to be adapted into different languages, and subtitled, and dubbed, and shipped all over the world and stuff, so it just takes a lot of time.”
Riegel further adds onto his statement,”I hope we won’t have to wait super long, but I will tell you this: no matter how long the wait is, the payoff will be so worth it. Seasons four and five tell an incredible story, and I think we ended the series exactly how we wanted to.” Stated by Radio Times, while no concrete information has been revealed, many have speculated that if the process continues at this pace, the final season will launch in February 2028.
All current seasons of The Legend of Vox Machina are available to stream on Prime Video.
