Lauren Graham’s Book Adaptation Lands at CW With Script Commitment

The CW has picked up the script for an adaptation of Lauren Graham’s New York Times best-selling novel titled Someday, Someday, Maybe The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

 

Graham will pen the script and executive produce the drama for Warner Bros. Television, Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman are set to executive produce the project through their A Very Good Production banner.

The drama centers on a young woman with six months left on her three-year plan to make a career as an actress in New York City. The storyline is a fictionalized version of Graham’s experiences acting during the 1990s.

The news of the new project comes two months after word leaked that Graham was developing her novel as a potential TV series and returns the actress to the network on Gilmore Girls. In addition, the project rejoins Graham with the Gilmore Girls studio Warner Bros. Television, who produced all seven seasons of the mother-daughter series.

Graham is repped by ICM Partners, John Carrabino Management and Hansen Jacobon.
