Lauren Ambrose of Six Feet Under has been tapped for USA Network’s six episode event series Dig.
The dramatic thriller, Dig, comes from co-creators and executive producers Tim Kring (Heroes) and Gideon Raff (Homeland). Jason Isaacs, Anne Heche, Alison Sudol, Regina Taylor, David Costabile and Omar Metwally are already attached to the series.
Ambrose will portray Debbie; a devoted follower of evangelist Ted Billingham (Costabile). She questions their beliefs when the 13-year-old boy, Josh, she looks after suddenly disappeared.
Ambrose is well known for her role as Claire Fisher in the HBO drama Six Feet Under. She has also appeared in both TV and film including About Sunny, Sleepwalk with Me, Wanderlust, The Other Woman, Cold Souls, A Dog Year, Law & Order: SVU, Torchwood: Miracle Day, and many more. Dig focuses on FBI agent Peter Connelly who uncovers a conspiracy 2,000 years in the making while stationed in Jerusalem.
