According to Discussing Film, Marvel Studios is reportedly working on a six-to-eight episode TV series starring Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) from the Thor Universe in the MCU. It would air exclusively on the upcoming and highly-anticipated Disney Plus streaming service. Keen to build up an extensive library of both previously made works and new original series, Disney Plus is sure to make some big waves in the streaming wars with viewers being able to both watch exclusive MCU-related original content as well as Lady and the Tramp at will. Marvel seems to be at the center of the plans to create and develop these new and expanding storylines with iconic producer Kevin Feige continuing to make waves as a creator and possible show-runner.
With recent news of Captain Marvel’s Jac Schaeffer being signed up to helm the Vision & Scarlett Witch series and successful TV writer Malcolm Spellman whose recent achievements with Empire has allowed him the opportunity to work on the script for another miniseries starring Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Marvel Studios is clearly ramping up a potentially worthwhile investment for the Disney Plus streaming service. There also seems to be a Loki TV show in the works, but now, he won’t be alone in being a returning Thor character as the Lady Sif show is reportedly in the early stages of development.
