‘Knuckles’ Series Ramped Up With New Poster Release

According to Comicbook, the official Sonic X page has revealed new poster for the Knuckles series. This poster shows the iconic red Echidna sporting a familiar cowboy hat with the caption stating, “Put your warrior face on.” The post also indicates that the series will be available on April 26th on Paramount+.  The iconic cowboy hat is reference back to the 1996 Sonic: the Movie, and since then have appeared across various Sonic media.

According to previous mxdwn post, the official synopsis of the six-episode event will follow Knuckles, voiced by Idris Elba (The Dark Tower), as he acclimates to  life on Earth and goes on to train deputy Whipple Wade, played by Adam Pally (Dog Days), in the ways of his people. A former accomplice of Robotnik assigned two mercenaries played, by Kid Cupi (Trolls Band Together) and Ellie Tayler (Ted Lasso), to hunt down Knuckles.

The unlikely du will also be confronted by the Buyer, played by Rory McCann (Jumanji: The Next Level), with similar plans to Robotnik’s, in which he tends to harness Knuckle’s power

The mention of Robotnik’s name will place the events from the spin-off between the second and third film. According to Comicbook, the spin-off series will fill in the gaps and help lean into Sonic 3 which is currently scheduled for December 20th. All episodes of the series will be released at the same time.

While details are scarce, the addition of the poster has amplify the excitement of  viewers across various social medias. The spin-off with its stellar cast, stunning visuals, and a creative team behind the helm, Knuckles is poised to be a wonderful addition in the franchise. This new poster, coupled with the previously released trailers, suggests the Knuckles series will blend action, humor, and a healthy dose of nostalgia.
