For a consecutive Christmas Eve, actor Kevin Spacey has released a new video on his Youtube Channel, entitled “1-800 XMAS,” according to ComicBook. Spacey, who has faced multiplied sexual assault allegations, had previously released a Christmas Eve video in 2019 pleading for people to be kind. In a similar fashion as the preceding video, the 2020 version features Spacey reprising his character Frank Underwood from the Netflix original series House of Cards, a series and role in which he was removed from following the allegations against him.
The new video acts as the third video released by the infamous actor since allegations came to light against him. “1-800 XMAS” features Spacey sending a message to people to release tension and seek help if they are in a dire situation before concluding the video with holiday wishes and the number for a mental health hotline. Despite the positive intention, Spacey still faces public and judicial backlash from his sexual harassment allegations perpetrated towards young males in various acting circles in addition to harassment allegations towards the cast and crew of House of Cards.
