Kevin Conroy To Play Batman On CW’s ‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’

The CW’s epic Arrowverse crossover Crisis On Infinite Earths just added more stars to the crossover. According to IGN, CW star Cress Williams, who plays Jefferson Pierce, in the CW’s Black Lightning will be appearing in the crossover. Then, during the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour, Kevin Conroy was announced to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming crossover. Conroy is known for his work behind the voice of Batman in Batman: The Animated Series.

There is no official release as to what his full role will be during the crossover, only that he will be making a special guest appearance. It is rumored that Conroy will appear as an older version of Bruce Wayne from the future. However, it could mean anything from a live-action Bruce Wayne or a voice-only role. He could also play an older version of Bruce Wayne from Earth-1 or Bruce Wayne from another universe. He could also appear as the Batman he helped cultivate thirty years ago in Batman: The Animated Series.

This casting announcement follows the announcement of Brandon Routh, who will be playing Superman as well as The Atom. It also follows the announcement that Burt Ward, former Robin in the 1960’s Batman TV series, will be appearing in the crossover, too.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will span over December and January crossing over five shows. The total runtime of the crossover is supposed to be 200 minutes long. Shows in the crossover will include Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will premiere on December 8, 9, and 10, and then conclude on January 14.

The first night will start off with Supergirl on Sunday, December 8 at 8pm. Then, it will continue into Monday, December 9, at 8pm with Batwoman. Then, The Flash on Tuesday, December 10, at 8pm. Then it will pick back up with Arrow on Tuesday, January 14, at 8pm. It will then conclude on Tuesday, January 14, at 9pm with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
