Jurnee Smollett-Bell has joined a multitude of celebrities who are moving to Parenthood in season 5.
Smollet-Bell will have a recurring role as Heather Hall, Kristina’s (Monica Potter) new campaign manager. TVLine first reported the casting.
Smollett-Bell is currently appearing in Season 6 of True Blood as Nicole on HBO. Her other TV credits include The Defenders, Do No Harm and Cosby. She also appeared on Friday Night Lights as Jess Merriweather.
In one of her earliest roles, Smollett-Bell played Michelle Tanner’s friend Denise Frazer on Full House.
Smollett-Bell isn’t the only new face in Parenthood this season. The Office veteran David Denman will appear as Ed, Drop Dead Diva‘s JoshStamberg will play Carl and Lost actress Sonya Walger will appear as Meredith. Ray Romano will also be returning to his role as Hank.
Parenthood returns for Season 5 on Thursday, September 26 at 10 p.m. ET.
